Welcome to Ladakh, the Land of High Passes! Upon arrival at one of the world's highest airports, get transferred to your hotel. Then, rent your bike and head out to explore Leh on your bike. Visit Leh Palace overlooking the city, Shanti Stupa, from where you can witness panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and Leh Market that has numerous cafes and restaurants, shops selling souvenirs, Tibetan handicrafts, travel essentials, etc. Later, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, get ready with your bike for an exciting trip to Sham Valley. You'll be visiting the meeting point of Zanskar and Indus rivers, the Sangam. Continue to the famous Magnetic Hill, followed by a visit to the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Next, visit the SECMOL Campus of the “3 Idiots" fame and your last stop will be the Hall Of Fame War Memorial where you can pay respect to the brave Indian soldiers. Later, you can opt for a White Water Rafting before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After the check-out, you will ride to Nubra Valley, which is approximately 150 km from Leh. Expect the journey to be an absolute visual delight as you will pass through Khardung La, world’s highest all-season motorable mountain pass; witness a 32-metre tall statue of Budhha, the ancient Diskit Monastery, and the cold desert of Hunder, where you can enjoy a ride on double-humped Camels or ATVs. Your ride for the day will end in Nubra Valley where you will camp by the Shyok River.
Today, after breakfast, you will ride to Turtuk Village, situated close to the Line of Control between India and Pakistan in Gilgit-Baltistan region. The change in the landscape from narrow valleys and barren mountains to green pastures and fruit orchards make for a visual treat in Turtuk. You can even see a Pakistani village from there. Return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay at the camp.
Check-out from the camp and start your day with a ride to the scenic Pangong Lake. The route to Pangong Lake offers breathtaking views. You will also encounter numerous streams crossing the road and making your journey a little challenging but completely worth it! Once you reach the dreamy Pangong Lake, check-in at your camp and spend the day admiring the beauty of the lake that is known for changing its colours at different times of the day.
After taking one last look at the Pangong Lake, start your return journey to Leh. Stop by the Chang La Pass, one of the highest passes in the world and take pictures. En route, visit Thiksey Monastery, a twelve-storey complex where you can see many items of Buddhist art. Visit the real 'Rancho School' (Druk Padma Karpo School), yes the one from the movie, '3 Idiots'! After spending some time here, ride to Leh and return your bike. Head to your pre-booked hotel and check-in for an overnight stay.
Today, after breakfast, you will be assisted to the Leh Airport. We're sure you will leave from Leh with beautiful and unmatched memories created during this bike trip.
